Qualification Required for different posts as below mentioned:

The candidate should possess the following qualifications for on-line registration of application:


Professor (Economics)
Qualificaiton

(i) An eminent scholar with Ph. D. qualifications (s) in Economics and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with a minimum of ten publications as books and/or research or policy papers.

(ii) A minimum of ten years of teaching experience in University/College, and/or experience in research at the University/National Level Institutions/Industries, including experience of guiding candidates for research at doctoral level.
(iii) Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses and technology mediated teaching learning process.
(iv) A minimum score of 400 points as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS) by the University Grants Commission(UGC).
Or
(B) An outstanding professional with established reputation in the relevant field, who has made significant contributions to the knowledge in Economics, to be substantiated by credentials.

Pay scale


Rs.37,400-67,000/- plus Academic Grade Pay Rs.10,000/- 


AGE

 Not exceeding 50 Years as on normal closing date for General Candidates. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/UT Govt. servants up to five years as per the instructions issued by the Govt. of India from time to time. Duty(ies)



 In addition to primary duty of teaching, a Professor would act as Head of Department. He/She would be responsible for ensuring proper coverage of the syllabus, conduct of examination, method of instructions and detailment of officers for various duties. He/She will be the sole custodian of the departmental infrastructure. He/She will exercise disciplinary control over the staff in the department and initiate Annual Performance Appraisal.

Asst Prof. (surgery)


Qualificaiton 


A recognized MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule or the Second Schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of educational qualifications included in Part-II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.

(ii) Post- Graduate degree in the concerned specialty or Super-speciality i.e. Master of Surgery (Surgery), Master of Surgery (General Surgery).
NOTE-I For equivalence of DNB qualifications with MD/MS or DM/M.Ch, the candidates holding DNB qualifications would need to get their qualification verified by NBE as to whether it is as per the requirement of the Gazette notification No.MCI-12(2)/2010-Med. Misc. dated 11.6.2012 and produce such verification certificate at the time of interview.
NOTE-II Any Post Graduation Degree or Diploma awarded by any Indian Universities, included in or excluded from, the Schedules to Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956), consequent to recognition granted or withdrawn by Govt of India as per provisions of the said Act shall be deemed to have been included or excluded accordingly from the Schedule-VI.
NOTE-III The Post Graduation Medical Qualifications awarded by Indian Universities, must have been included in the Schedules to Indian Medical Council Act, 1956(102 of 1956) for the purpose of Schedule VI.
NOTE-IV In the case of holders of Doctorate of Medicine (DM) or Magister Chirurgiae (M. Ch.) qualification of five years duration, the period of five years’ duration, the period of Senior Post Graduate residency rendered in the last part of the said of Doctorate of Medicine (DM) or Magister Chirurgiae (M. Ch.) shall be counted towards requirement of teaching experience. 
NOTE-V Teaching experience in any other post like the post of General Duty Medical Officer or Medical Officer shall not be considered for eligibility purpose for recruitment to teaching posts. 
NOTE-VI The crucial date for determining the age limit shall be the closing date for receipt of applications from candidates in India.
NOTE-VII The qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
NOTE-VIII The qualification regarding experience is relaxable at discretion of the Commission, for reason to be recorded in writing, in the case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and the Schedule Tribes if, at any stage of selection, the Commission is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from these communities possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the vacancies reserved for them. 
(B) EXPERIENCE 
At least three years’ teaching experience as Senior Resident or Tutor or Demonstrator or Registrar in the concerned Specialty or Super-speciality in a recognized teaching institution after obtaining the first Post graduate degree.


Pay Scale:

Rs.15, 600-39,100 with Grade Pay Rs.6600/- plus N.P.A as admissible. Total emoluments Rs.65,594/-


AGE LIMIT 


Not exceeding 40 years on the normal closing date. Not exceeding 45 years for SC candidates on the normal closing date, in respect of posts reserved for them. (Relaxable for Govt. servants by 5 years in accordance with instructions issued by the Central Govt.)


Duty(ies)


1.To impart theoretical and practical instructions to under-graduate/post-graduate medical students
2.To conduct and guide research work in the speciality
3.To render patient care in the speciality
4.Any other duties that may be assigned by the authorities from time to time

Any Other Conditions

(i) Private practice of any kind whatsoever shall not be allowed including any consultation and laboratory practice.
(ii) The candidate selected will, if so required shall be liable to serve in any Defence service or post connected with the Defence of India, for a period not less than four years including the period spent in training, if any Provided that such officer shall not 
(a) be required to serve as aforesaid after the expiry of ten years from the date of appointment or from the date of joining the service, (b) Ordinarily be required to serve as aforesaid after attaining the age of 45 years.


Asst. Prof. (Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation)


Qualificaiton

A)(i) EDUCATIONAL A recognized MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 ( 102 of 1956). Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in sub-section(3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956(102 of 1956). 
ii) Post- Graduate degree in the concerned specialty or Super-speciality i.e. Doctor of Medicine(Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation) or Doctor of Medicine (Medicine) with Diploma in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation or Master of Surgery(General Surgery) or Master of Surgery(Orthopaedics) with two years special training in the Speciality in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation(Rehabilitation Medicine) or two years of equivalent training approved in the subject in any approved institution in India.

Pay Scale:

Rs.15,600-39,100 with Grade Pay Rs.6600/- plus N.P.A. Total emoluments Rs.65,594/-.

AGE LIMIT 


Not exceeding 40 years (Relaxable for Government servants upto five years in accordance with the orders or instructions issued by Government) Relaxation to the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories is to be given as per rules

Qualificaiton



A. EDUCATIONAL 
A (i) Master’s degree in Law (LLM) from a University established or incorporated by or under a Central Act a Provincial Act or a State Act or any institution for higher education deemed to be a University by the Central Government or any other institution or foreign University approved by the Central Government and
(ii) Should have been a member of State Judicial Service for a period of five years.
Or
Should have held a post in the Legal Department of a State Government for five years
Or
Should have been a Central Government Servant who has had experience in Legal Affairs for five years
Or 
Should have been a qualified legal practitioner who has practiced as such for five years 
Or
Should have been a teacher of Law for five years in a recognised Institution
Or
Should have five years’ experience of translation into Kannada Language of statutes, statutory rules and orders in Central Government or State Government
Or
Should have five years’ experience of drafting of statutes in Central Government or State Government
OR
B (i) Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) from a University established or incorporated by or under a Central Act a Provincial Act or a State Act or any institution for higher education deemed to be a University by the Central Government or any other institution or foreign University approved by the Central Government and
(ii) Should have been a member of State Judicial Service for a period of seven years 
Or
Should have held a post in the Legal Department of a State Government for Seven years
Or
Should have been a Central Government Servant who has had experience in Legal Affairs for Seven years
Or 
Should have been a qualified legal practitioner who has practiced as such for Seven years 
Or
Should have been a teacher of Law for Seven years in a recognised Institution
Or
Should have seven years’ experience of translation into Kannada Language of statutes, statutory rules and orders in Central Government or State Government
Or
Should have Seven years’ experience of drafting of statutes in Central Government or State Government
(iii) Passed Secondary School Examination or any higher Examination from a recognised board or university or Institution through medium of Kannada Language or had offered Kannada Language as a subject in Secondary School Examination or any higher examination from a recognised board or university or any institution or foreign University approved by the Central Government.
NOTE 1- Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
The expression “Qualified Legal Practitioner” used in the Recruitment Rules in respect of the post of Assistant Legislative Counsel (Kannada Language) in Official Languages Wing, means a person who is an advocate or a pleader and has practiced as such for five years in case of Master’s Degree in Law (LLM) holder or seven years in case of Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) holder.

B. EXPERIENCE
As mentioned in A(ii) and B(ii) above.
Note-I The qualifications are relaxable at Commission’s discretion in case of candidates otherwise well qualified. 
The expression “Qualified Legal Practitioner” used in the Recruitment Rules in respect of the post of Assistant Legislative Counsel (Regional Languages) in Official Languages Wing, means a person who is an advocate or a pleader and has practiced as such for five years in case of Master’s Degree in Law (LLM) holder or seven years in case of Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) holder.

Desirable Qualificaiton (s) 

1. Five years’ experience of legislative drafting in Kannada language in Central or State Government.
2. Bachelor’s degree from a University established or incorporated by or under a Central Act a Provincial Act or a State Act or any institution for higher education deemed to be a University by the Central Government or any other institution or foreign University approved by the Central Government with Kannada language as a subject or medium at degree level.

Pay Scale:


Rs. 15,600-39,100/- plus Rs. 6,600/- (Grade Pay) (Total emoluments excluding T.A. and HRA at the time of initial appointment will be Rs. 54000/-p.m. approximately)

AGE LIMIT 
Not exceeding 43 years for Other Backward Class candidates as on normal closing date in respect of the vacancies reserved for them. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/U.T. Government Servant upto Five years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. Duty(ies)

  Preparation of authenticated translation of Central Statutes, Statutory Rules and Regulation etc. in Kannada language and give general assistance to Joint Secretary and Legislative Counsel (Official Languages Wing).

Qualificaiton


Certificate of Competency as Master of a Foreign Going Ship as recognized by the Government of India.
B. Experience-
Five years service as Deck officer, after obtaining the certificate of competency of second mate (Foreign Going), of which one year must have been in capacity of a Master on a Foreign going ship.
Notes-1 Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
Note-2 The qualification(s) regarding experience is relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission in the case of candidates belonging to Schedule Caste or Schedule Tribe if at any stage of selection the Union Public Service Commission is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from these communities possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the vacancy reserved for them.pplicable to some other categories of applicants, please see relevant paras of the ‘Instructions and Additional Information to Candidates for Recruitment by Selection.

(i) Extra Master’s Certificate of Competency or 
Master of Science Degree in Maritime Affairs awarded by a recognized University.
(ii) Experience in survey and inspection of merchant ships and examination work for one year or more on the date of submission of application to the Union Public Service Commission.

Pay Scale:


Rs.15600-39100/- plus Grade Pay Rs.7600/- (Total Emoluments excluding T.A. and HRA at the time of initial appointment will be Rs. 62835/-p.m. approximately).

AGE LIMIT 


Not exceeding 50 years as on normal closing date. Not exceeding 55 years for Scheduled Castes candidates Schedule Tribe candidates and not exceeding 53 years for Other Backward Class candidates as on normal closing date in respect of the vacancies reserved for them. Qualificaiton (s)


EDUCATIONAL 
(i) A recognized Veterinary qualification included in the first schedule or second schedule of the Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1982 (Number 52 of 1984)
(ii) Should be registered with the State Veterinary Council of Indian Veterinary Council.

Note 1 Qualification are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission for reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified

Desirable Qualificaiton (s)


 Professional experience related to dairy/ cattle/poultry.

Pay Scale:

Rs. 15600-39100 plus G.P. Rs. 5400/- plus NPA @ 25 per cent.]

Duty(ies)

Treatment of all sick livestock and to do artificial insemination for improvement of cattle.
Prophylactic vaccination against contagious diseases of livestock and poultry.
To render veterinary aid and cover in the event of natural calamity.
To issue Health Certificate in insured cattle and perform postmortem in Veterolegal cases
To do extension work of Animal Husbandry Unit in the field.
