The East Coast Railway (ECoR) is one of the sixteen railway zones of Indian Railways. It came into existence on 1 April 2003. As the name suggests, most of the railway routes of the zone are near the east coast of India. (wikipedia).

Educational Qualification Required for the post as below mentioned:
1. A Degree or its equivalent from a recognized university.
2. 12th (+2 stage) or its equivalent, with 80 words per minute in Shorthand (Hindi/English) for a duration of 10 minutes which will be transcribed in typing in 65 minutes for English and in 75 minutes for Hindi, for the post of Jr. Stenographer. (OR) A pass in 1st year of B. Sc. (Physics) or, a pass in 10+2 stage in Higher Secondary in Science (Math or Physics) for the post of Electrical Signal Maintainer-II in S&T Dept.
3. 12th (+2 stage) or its equivalent examination. (OR) A pass in Matriculation or its equivalent from a recognized Board and having ITI certificate may also apply to be posted as Tech-III.
4. 10th standard or ITI or equivalent from a recognized Board.
For recruitment of sports persons on Indian Railways against sports quota in team games, only the sportspersons who have actually played the sport in field shall only be eligible.
Pay Scale: - According to your Qualification.
AGE LIMIT : Minimum 18 years and Maximum 25 years of age as on 1.1.2016.
(Note: Certificate from recognized board should be submitted for date of birth proof).
No age relaxation is allowed even for SC/ST/OBC candidates.
HOW TO APPLY
Candidates who are interested should submit application fee for an amount of Rs.100/‐(rupees one hundred only) in the form of Indian Postal Order from any Post Office (issued on or after the date of this notification) drawn in favour of “FA&CAO, East Coast Railway, payable at Bhubaneswar”
SC/ST, ex-servicemen, physically challenged, women, minority candidates (Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists & Zorastrians [Parsis]) and candidates belonging to economically backward classes (whose family income is less than Rs.50,000/- per annum) need not pay this fee.
